Your typical fishing day will begin at 6:00 am with a hearty full breakfast. We also provide a luncheon buffet so you can custom design your own lunch to be eaten onboard your vessel. We will deliver you to the Gustavus dock about 7:00 am to board the boats. If you are fishing with us during May or September, we will typically deliver you to the Bartlett Cove dock inside Glacier Bay National Park. Your fishing day will usually consist of 7 1/2 to 8 hrs aboard the boat. We will pick you up at the dock generally between 3:30 and 4:00 pm and return you to the Lodge. Upon your return to the Lodge, there are several activities ranging from 9 holes of golf, flight seeing tours, to a bicycle ride through Gustavus. Or just relax over a game of pool in our recreation room, or a movie or ball game on our big screen TV, a little friendly competition at our horseshoe pits. Evenings you can compare fish stories at our fire pit. A wonderful dinner will be served at about 6:00 pm. All of our scheduled fishing trips are 5-day charters. Schedule permitting, 3-day fishing trips can be accommodated. Foul weather gear is provided for your convenience
OUR SKIPPERS
For many of you who have been to Alaska more than once, you know that often times the owners of the lodge and the owners of the fishing charter are different, often causing problems. At the Anglers Inn and Deep Blue Charter the ownership is the same. All of the skippers are employees, or as we say, part of the family. This can often times eliminate any misunderstandings as to what is expected. When you board any Deep Blue boat you can expect to hear “What would you like to fish for today?” Our skippers are there to put you on the fish, drive the boat and keep you safe. For the most part, it is your boat, what you fish for and where is up to you! Our guides are professional and have the integrity and people skills to make your fishing trip the best ever. We provide your boats with the best equipment, tackle and bait to ensure that your fishing trip will be nonstop excitement!
Deep Blue Charters
Deep Blue Charters operates a fleet of six charter vessels. Five 28' North River Seahawk OS, powered by twin Yamaha 150. A deep V-hull will cut you through any rough water encountered, which are rare. Heated cabins will keep you warm, seating for five will keep you rested, stand-up heads will keep your mind at ease and large decks with lots of room to fish. They are outifitted with quality electronics, fishing gear and safety equipment. We also run two 26' C-dory Pro Anglers powered by a Yamaha 225 also outfitted with the finest electronics, fishing gear and saftey equipment.
